TERMS OF SERVICE

The terms that apply to quotes, bookings, cancellations, results and liability for work carried out by REFIND.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. THESE TERMS

These terms apply to every quote, booking and job carried out by REFIND. By confirming a booking you accept them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. QUOTES

Quotes are based on the information and images you provide and are valid for 30 days. Where a vehicle's condition differs materially on arrival, we will confirm any change in price or scope with you before starting. No work begins without your agreement.

3. BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT

  • A booking is confirmed once we agree a date and, where requested, a deposit is paid.
  • Deposits are applied to the final invoice.
  • The balance is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • All prices include VAT where we are VAT registered.

4. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL

Where you book as a consumer away from our premises or at a distance, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (implementing the EU Consumer Rights Directive) give you 14 days to cancel without giving a reason.

If you ask us to start within that period and we complete the work, you lose the right to cancel; if we have only partly performed, you pay a proportionate amount for what was done.

Outside that right, please give at least 48 hours' notice to change or cancel a booking so we can re-allocate the slot. Deposits may be retained for late cancellations or no-access visits.

5. ACCESS AND CONDITIONS FOR MOBILE WORK

Mobile work requires safe, legal access to the vehicle, sufficient space to work around it, and for some services shelter and a mains power supply. Coatings and film require controlled conditions and may need to be rescheduled in adverse weather. We confirm requirements before the visit; if they cannot be met on the day, a reasonable call-out charge may apply.

6. VEHICLE CONDITION AND PRE-EXISTING DEFECTS

We inspect and photograph vehicles before starting. Detailing, correction, coatings and film improve and protect a finish but cannot guarantee removal of every defect. Some paint is too thin, previously repaired, or already failing, and we will tell you where a safe result is limited. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, failing trim, aftermarket wraps or poorly applied previous repairs revealed by cleaning.

7. COATINGS, FILM AND AFTERCARE

Manufacturer warranties on ceramic coatings and paint protection film are provided by the product manufacturer on their terms, and generally require documented maintenance. Following the aftercare guidance we supply is a condition of any warranty claim. Contamination, automated brush washes, impact damage and abrasive chemicals are not covered.

8. SECURITY INSTALLATIONS

Immobilisers, trackers and anti-theft upgrades are a deterrent and risk-reduction measure. No system makes a vehicle theft-proof and we give no guarantee against theft. Installations are carried out to a professional standard; you are responsible for telling us about existing modifications, aftermarket wiring or warranty conditions from your manufacturer or insurer, and for keeping tags, cards and codes secure.

9. LIABILITY

We carry appropriate insurance and work to a professional standard. Where we are liable for loss caused by our negligence or breach, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or the price paid for the work, whichever is lower, except where the law does not allow that limit.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of use or loss of profit.

Please remove valuables and personal items before a booking; we cannot accept responsibility for them.

10. COMPLAINTS

Tell us within 7 days of completion if you are unhappy with any part of the work and give us the opportunity to inspect it. We will put right anything that falls short.

11. IMAGES AND DATA

We may photograph work for our records and, with your permission, for our website and social media. Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Consumers resident elsewhere in the EU keep the protection of mandatory consumer law in their country of residence.
